Hospitality Internship Program (Paid Internship)

This program is a paid internship program available to current students and recent graduates of hospitality related studies.

Hospitality Internship conditions (Note: figures are estimates.)

The first week in the workplace focuses on training and induction of the intern for which they will not be paid. Thereafter, participants will be paid at award rates.

Hospitality Internship salary

The average monthly gross salary for interns working 25 hours per week in AU$1500.00

Emergency maintenance funds

It is recommended that all interns arrive with AU$3000.00 and that this is maintained during the course of the program.

Insurance: - All participants completing an internship in Australia are required to have medical, accident, travel and personal liability insurance for the duration of their internship, a charge of which shall be deducted on a weekly basis from the internship salary. 

Participant Eligibility 
  1. An English Language Level of IELTS 6 (or equivalent test score).
  2. A related educational or professional background to the sector they wish to be placed.
  3. A high quality CV and Letter of Motivation which can demonstrate the applicant`s skills and qualifications.
  4. Be aged between 18-30 years.
  5. A 24 hour contact telephone number and current email address must be provided at time of application. Note: All applicants must be able to access emails and telephones during the internship placement process. The success of the placement is dependent on applicant`s availability for interviews and delays will jeopardize the placement.
  6. Participation in telephone interview/s.
  7. A realistic expectation of the internship position they request. Management training is not possible.
  8. A keen, motivated and flexible attitude
